If you're selling real estate, remember that
marketing it is an on-going project. You need to let enough buyers
know that your property is for sale that you are noticed by the person
for whom (like for Goldilocks) it is "just right." Copy the behavior
of a good real estate agent. Put up a FOR SALE sign in front and
lead-in signs from a busy street. Use a brochure box at the curb.
Post your listing with photos on a web site (like ours, for example)
that gets a lot of buyer traffic. Use classified ads in your local
paper, newsletters, and near-by city papers if you're in a commuting
community. Post an ad on bulletin boards in your neighborhood. Talk
to your neighbors, or write to them and enclose an flyer. Have a phone
message that gives your property's web address. Use as many methods as
you can think of and afford to get the word out. Persistent
multi-media marketing is the key to successful real estate sales.
