 Tip of the Day

If you're selling real estate, remember that marketing it is an on-going project. You need to let enough buyers know that your property is for sale that you are noticed by the person for whom (like for Goldilocks) it is "just right." Copy the behavior of a good real estate agent. Put up a FOR SALE sign in front and lead-in signs from a busy street. Use a brochure box at the curb. Post your listing with photos on a web site (like ours, for example) that gets a lot of buyer traffic. Use classified ads in your local paper, newsletters, and near-by city papers if you're in a commuting community. Post an ad on bulletin boards in your neighborhood. Talk to your neighbors, or write to them and enclose an flyer. Have a phone message that gives your property's web address. Use as many methods as you can think of and afford to get the word out. Persistent multi-media marketing is the key to successful real estate sales.

Creating articles in Content Manager

The process of creating an article, as well as any element of your website, is very easy and convenient in the Content Manager system.

The title "Articles" is rather relative. You can call this page "Our Accomplishments" or "Our Partners". The more important thing is that this page type allows you to create and easily manage large illustrated texts.

You can type the text of the article directly in Content Manager or use your favorite text editor program for that and then copy and paste the text into the Content Manager's editor.

You can upload one image for the current article - the size of the image are set in accordance with the current design of your website, and the image will be located on the page where the web-designer meant it to be. The size of the uploaded images will be changed according to the current website design. In addition to that, you can use as many images and illustrations as necessary within the text of your article.

To create the first article, your website must contain a page of the "Articles" type. If your website does not contain such a page, you should take the following steps to create it:

  • in the main menu of Content Manager, click "Setup pages"
  • a list of the existing pages of your website will appear on the right. Find the button in this list, and click it
  • in the "Add new page" dialog window, specify the parameters of the new page (you can find more information on the fields' values in the user manual and the Content Manager help system), including setting the "Page type" to "Articles"
  • click . A new item should appear in the page list, with the heading being the same as your specified in the "Page title" field.

Now when you have a page of the "Article" type, you can create, edit and delete articles on your website!

To edit articles, use one of the ways:

  • in the Content Manager main menu, click on the heading of the "Articles" page you have created.
  • In the Content Manager main menu, click "Setup pages", find the heading of the ""Articles" page in the website pages list, and click "Edit" .

Whichever way you choose, you will be taken back to the "Articles" list after the editing.

To create a new article, click . To edit an existing article, click "Edit" next to its heading in the list. If you wish to delete an article, click "Delete" next to its heading.

You can find more information on creating and editing articles in the user manual and the Content Manager online help system.
